Without an exact grid reference I can only give you a rough guide. But going by your approximate long/lat 5W would be the best Sat to use.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams

Your satb needs only one reference, to work out the rest.
Just use the one that is easier for you, as long as you put the correct details in, and you know where to point the dish.

Hi. Yeah from my experience it dont matter what your reference satellite is because USALS will know when to stop. In London i have used different satellites for reference point and always work. I take it you will be using USALS because if you use DISEC(1.2) your lat/long is not required. But obviously you need to make sure that you get the first satellite aligned spot on. Let us know if you need further help. Regards.

Thanks for the reply guys but looks like i will maybe not be installing it after all as there is a lot of large trees blocking the road. it prob needs to go up quite a height to clear these and i think its a job for a pro. Pity thou i would have loved a crack at it.

Hi. You can always do what i did. Before buying the motor i tried to find as many satellites as i could from ground level. I had the tv and receiver plus dish on the floor and manually found them. It took ages but was great fun and you learn a lot about satellites. Take care.

i setup dish to look at 28e easy to find, had reciever and TV set up outside near dish on a workbench
that way i could do slight adjustments easily
then used USAL's and did slight tweaks to get them spot on

its not hard, it took me on my own about hour to do,
did have to go back and tweak 5e as origanally i could not decode their signal (if u know what i mean)
