FTA missing channels

Hi All
I hope that I'm in the right place
Hopefully someone can help, I have an old pace box which connects up and loads only some of the free to air channels, I have tried updating by pressing back button etc. But still only get some of the channels, others say insert card. I have another box which works fine and receives them all. Doe's anyone know what the problem might be. Thanks

Im pretty sure a Sky box needs an active white Viewing card inserted to get all of the FTA channels? Is the card in it an old out date card (blue card yellow house) try the card in it from your other box...

I've got two boxes exactly the same, they don't need a card to get Free to Air, free to air channels are free on ex bskyb boxes. I was thinking that perhaps the guy that had this box somehow still has a sky sub on it,

Thats funny, I thought you needed a FSfS (freesat from sky) Card to get all the free channels, without one you dont get channel 5, or is it channel 4 and others missing, Im not sure.. I always thought they needed an up to card to get all the free channels, otherwise without the viewing card some free channels would be missing..

FTA channels are free to receive as you rightly said. FTV channels however still need a valid card to be able to view them regardless of weather you use a official sky box or not.

hi m8 take plug out try Press and hold the backup button. Replug the power into the box.let the backup button go when u see three lights com on the box then wait about 10min then the box will reboot then u should have all the fta ckennels

Did that still not getting all, do I have to have it pluged into phone connection?
