the only way you could do this is fit an A-B switch on one of the feeds to the sky plus box , and have A to the living room sky plus box and B to the Bedroom ( B tells you the room for easy remembering ) , the common connection is used to go to the lnb
you switch it to the bedroom B at night or when the plus box is not in use , and switch back again during the day
it would be a pain remembering to do this as you may mess recordings up if it isnt switched to the plus box when it should be , because it cannot record from a dead feed
assuming you switched it to B when going to bed and back to A first thing in the morning , and as long as no recordings were scheduled , it should work fine
alternatively , check the sky plus box menu to see if it has a single feed mode , if it does you can use this from one feed and have the other feed running internally to the bedroom box. this would mean your living room box is tied to one tuner only so you cannot record 2 programs at the same time , or watch one and record another at the same time due to the fact you have retired one tuner completely
the bedroom box needs its own card too if you want the same channels
best bet is run an rf coax feed to the bedroom , fit a magic eye on it , and watch the sky plus box over the rf channel , changing channel using the magic eye and your sky remote , that is how my lad does it , it also lets him watch recordings tooComment
