can anyone point me in the right direction of what i need to do to get set up with a satelite system? preferably motorised as i heard these good if one area goes off

i used to have a set up some one done for me about 8 years ago and it was i think at the tme a technomat box and it was connected to a motorised dish and i bought different cards for it and reprogrammed it if codes went off, then i got a card share for a while, but as said was a while ago so dont know where to start
