hi i have recently brought a 97cm motorised dish and a xtrend 5000 my question is i dont realy want to go to the cs side of things if possiable i would like to watch certain chanels i have 2 ci slots on the front does one of these become a cam slot for such as diablo cam if it does and i purchase 1 what viewing card do i need for that cam.

ci slots are for cams like trex or diablo
these can be programmed to decode certain channels like bulsat on 39e
as for cards , you buy a subbed card for whatever you wish to watch , if one is available and works in the cam that is
obviously you cannot just buy any old card , and some cards cannot be bought , like sly
in most cases you need a subbed card for the package you wish to watch , and the cam must be programmed to support that package , if it can do so
so it totally depends what you wish to watch , and what can be done , or not as the case may be
