Some info on Soft-Cams please ?

Hello All,

What is the difference between the cams CCcam, NewCS and OSCAM?

I remember a time when it was really just CCcam then people shifted over to Newcs & CCcam. Now people are using Oscam and CCcam?

I dont know why, and would like to know. Do they operate differently, or is one type more secure?

I currently use cccam with an 093b card and dont have any problems, but am I at risk?

cccam failed to decode pick tv on 0963 and newcs+cccam used to be employed to read a card and then distribute it , it also allowed distribution of newcamd too direct from newcs , and newcs could read card entitlements and be accessed through the webif

oscam has taken over for many reasons , one being its faster , two being it can read various cards , three it can distribute newcamd , and the web interface is a lot better and can be used to read card entitlements and expirys , and can be used on various things like satboxes , laptops or pc,s

oscam can also be viewed in the webif and changes made too

it was also felt that cccam wasnt official after 213 and was viewed with suspicion due to people getting cards turned off
