easiest way is either by a Quad or Octo LNB with seperate feed for each dish

Nah, you cant split the single cable to two feeds, you'll need to run another cable into your house from the LNB on the satellite, you may have to swap your current LNB for a multi output LNB if what you have at the moment is only a single output... A quad output LNB dont cost much..

1 yeah you can split the feed
the second receiver channels need to be on the same band and polarity H/V as the main receiver or you get no signal

2 if you want to use one box at a time
        get an A/B switch

3 get a quad LNB run another cable

Most recent sky dish installs come with a quad lnb to facilitate sky+ so check your dish to see if there is a quad on it already! I was pleasantly surprised to find one on mine.

only a fiver on flea bay if you need to change the lnb from single to a quad , then just run an extra cable or a shotgun cable from dish to box
