    Found a Sky+ box with 160GB HDD in dump

    My old man found a sky + box in the dump yesterday with 160GB HDD inside. I was delighted as I thought I could install it in my CT9100 until I took it out and realised its an Ultra ATA and not SATA. Is there any way of using this in the box or does it have to be SATA? I was thinking maybe a conversion cable or something.

      You could try a IDE to SATA adapter like this

      [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-Bi-Directional-SATA-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00310MFPY/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1322767445&sr =1-7"]StarTech Bi-Directional SATA IDE Adapter Converter: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories[/ame]

      but i do not know if it will work as i have never tried one
