    Triax 1.1m dish issue

    hey guys
ive been having a nightmare of a day , I installed a 1.1m triax dish a few weeks ago all worked perfect until sunday when the wind started to pick up and the channels keep bouncing btw the dish is for viasat on 4.8e i have checked the signal and its still 100% on h and v but the ber is bouncing all over the place from 0.00 up to 9.50 even with no wind the dish its self seems to be vibrating ,
the dish is mounted on 12inch t & K Brackets with a 4ft 2inch pole inbetween and the dish is solid but when you look at the dish from the from the upper right hand side seems to be moving and looks very flimsy this inturn seems to follow through down to the lnb ,
    Any ideas ???

Hi. If the dish is vibrating/ moving as you say i would check that the bolts have been tightened up properly. Problem can be if the bolts are not tight enough then when you get strong winds they gradually work themselves loose especially if you have a motor fitted to the dish. Also check the LNB arm and LNB are securely fitted to the dish. If they are bouncing up and down then you will get picture losses. Good luck.

yes i have checked and double checked everything , there isnt one single lose nut or bolt i have fitted hundreds of dishes over the years and this is just doing my head in , Has i said in my post its seems like the dish is moving abit like rolph harris's wobble board i have spoken to my supplier and they are ring triax to see if i mite have a dodgy dish

Hi. Strange that. Have you checked the wall mount in case its a bit wobbly? I find it hard to believe that it can be the dish as it was working fine before the winds.. Let us know what the outcome is. Regards.

If it is the ber then that means there is a connection issue, have you moved your box slightly? check all cable connections to the box and dish, one of them might of come loose or water getting into the join, worth a try i think.......

Sorted it changed the lnb and everything is correct but the dish still seems to be moving and the Ber is moving slightly from 0.00 -1.19

they can be used to anchor the dish when using a fixed dish setup
