Spiderbox 9900 No Signal When Searching Sats

    Hi Guys

I've put my motorised dish up (triax 78cm pointing due south, running on a supreme dark motor) I did motor setup, inputted lat and long and locked onto Thor, Spot on!

Now I loaded new patch, had a few probs accessing the hidden menu and infact the patch I've used thats allowed me to access it, seems to lost my signal to Thor and anything else I try to lock onto?
Anyone got any thoughts? The patch that worked was (Spiderbox_HD_9900_1010.uad), what am I missing, is it that obvious?

    Thanks

And I forgot to say, before I got the patch to work I tracked most of the Arc that is reachable on a 78cm dish.

    Cheers

Yep, absolutely no signal. It happened straight after I loaded the patch

Send the dish to reference in motor settings, that may correct it.
          Patch should make no difference.

the newest patch is actually 15 nov 2011 , not october

once that is loaded , with a factory reset before and after , just add the channel list and set usals back up with your longitude and latitude , and if necessary try diseqc v1.2 and reset the motor , then go back to usals , or just use diseqc and find and store the satellites

Prior to loading that patch, I tried the 1511. It would not open the hidden menu? I reset, loaded, reset. And it wouldn't open it, but I had a signal with it loaded.
Once I loaded the out of date patch, it opened the hidden menu? But no signal, its really odd.

Have you tried the current patch, and where did you get it from, maybe I had a damaged copy or something?

              Thanks

I dont have the 9900 , but plenty of people have used it without problems

I also cannot post links to other sites so will decline to answer the last part

doesnt matter which patch you have in order to obtain a signal , the patch version has no bearing on reception issues

try these mate make sure you set up on a FTA channel as some of the older boxes are no longer connecting to the server though yours should be ok as the 9900 is not that old.

Thanks for that, I'll have a play with it saturday morning, get the ladder out and check the gails didnt blow it off due south (maybe I didnt tighten it up enough?) But I couldnt get a signal full stop.

Box is brand new btw (it will have a good 12 months of use I presume?)

                      thanks for the patch.

no idea what you are on about killing the 7000 next , my 7000 has already been turned off

its not the models they are killing , its the mac codes that have been turned off on the older machines , and that will affect any machine , be it 9000 , 9000 combo , 7000 or 5000 , they appear to have targeted all the mac codes on boxes with FM hardware to be precise , which mine both have

the point here is that you can still use the box , just not the ethernet gift to the spider server as it will refuse access , giving error code zero , just like the sv7 does until you renew a subscription

at the moment there is no new subscription available on the spiderbox , and there wasnt on the sv7 for a while either

I can still use my boxes for all the other things it can do , including using a server like the sv combo , just not use the spider server thats all

so the channels you open on ethernet are no longer open to me
( press info twice when on a channel to see what opens it )

I have had one box for well over 18 months now so know what I am talking about, and I have talked to a few people who do know what is happening in this matter too
( horses mouth and all that )

those are the facts in this case

Dont worry too much about "due south" send the dish to 0.8West using usals then move the whole motor/dish assembly L/R and the dish elevation only UP/DOWN to tune BBC World in on 11.862 H 28000,get max signal you can, then lock up.
