Hi all , been told by a supplier that there is a way to unlock your existing blocked xtra pl 1-7 channels by inserting the card into a Technomate box (which requires your router being plugged in also). Anybody have any idea what you need exactly and what you do ?

You need to ask the supplier for more info.
Find it strange but strange things happen.

Yeah but they want ?400 for the service , these channels are only SD so I guess its just the cheap technomate box as they say the HD channel doesnt work, the card has to go back into the pace to watch prem hd for the non 3pm kick offs

They say this works 100% and if you remove the card it goes off (so its not card sharing) it has to connect to your router though , dont know if this creates a kind of call back to make the box look local to latvia.

Possibly, as Sky Italy is NDS & they read quite nicely in some technomate boxes, but Viasat are paired & i can't see anywhere to put a boxkey in a technomate.

This is for a Technomate 5402 but i would imagine a lot of the other Tm's are similar.

                  Code:
main menu then>smart card > ok on card+>press yellow button >enter your boxkey number

                    Thanks Digicon

I have a TM5402HD so i will try that to see if i can read my
Viasat Lithuania card in it & see if the magic happens with the Xtra Pl channels
                    as mentioned in this thread.

                    Cheers

Cant see how this will work?
                      Why connected to router?
Hows a standard linux/non linux box gonna do a call back?
It must be getting emms sent from somewhere to open the card that the original box is blocking/stopping/not receiving etc.

To be honest, i can't see it working either, but at least it won't cost anything to try.

Will have a play tonight & Tomorrow & will report back.

Great thanks Rigsby , as for being connected to the router im not sure why but they did specify this is a must??. If it was a linux box I could understand as maybe some kind of card sharing. I did ask if it was and they said no, if you remove the card it wont work.
                          Thanks for trying anyway

& then from 3pm tomorrow, will try the Xtra PL.

I will let everyone know how it goes.

                            cheers

Using Viasat Lithuanian card in a TM5402HD

Managed to enter the box key....
This is actually your original STB number 11 digits.

There is only space for 10 digits in the TM5402 HD
so you remove the LAST digit from the list & enter the
                              1st 10 digits.

Make sure you save out of this.

Go back to channel list & select a channel (NON HD) that your card is paid for ...

                              & HURRAY...

                              The channel clears.

I am just trying the Sport Baltic & Golf channel, as none of the HD ones open.

So there we have it, the TM5402 will read & display the SD channels.

The next step will be tomorrow at 3pm to see if the Xtra PL
                              channels will open.

                              cheers

wow ! that's great , that ties up with what I was told , that for non Saturday 3pm viewing of Viasat Prem HD you would need to put the card back into the official reciever. But the SD channels would work on the technomate. Still not sure what the router is required for though?
