tell him if he wants 24/365 reception then you will install a 1.4m prime focus dish on a 3 inch pole for nearly 2 grand. the punter should have really gone for a heavy duty system as the reception site is in a exposed location. i have a td110 on a stab motor with 18inch t+k and also suffer in extremley bad winds. regards mdt

Tell to go and jump off his 3 story high building.

It's not your fault it's windy,

Not a chance on a refund , I think he is using that as an excuse it's not more to do with viasat losing it's 3pm contract is it ?

Unless he asked for that particular set up then it is the installers job to inform the customer of what is required and when agreed supply and fit a system that will operate as intended.

It depends if the Customer has requested a particular site for the dish against the installer's recommendations, i.e exposure to high winds.

Big dishes are bound to wobble in the wind & therefore signal will be up & down.

Agreed and if he has warned customer first of situation before install then he is covered.
These winds are abnormal and are very rare.

                      Hi

I had the same problem last night

The only sat that was stable was 30w which i watched the footy on.

The wind must have been deflected at this position

As you have said it is to be expected at this time of year.

                      Best regards

                      Marcus
