signel on+off

HI. I'm despret. I got two recivers ,dreambox and technomate ,on both,the signel comes on and off. try one first , and then the other, Iget thesame thing,also when the signel on and off makes a sharp teroble sound. Some time is OK for wile ..What is it?The TV -or LNB-or both recivers are not good ?? Could some one help me please?? thank you ...

it sounds like your dish is out of alignment pick a channel that you use on the Technomate and press the blue button on the hand set to bring up the signal bars.then go outside and on a fixed dish move the dish slowly up/down and Left/Right(after slackening slightly)to get the bars as far to the right as possible.if motorised 1st check the dish is central on the motor spigot then move the whole assembly L/R and the dish only up/down to tune in.
if only slightly out with a motor if on usals adjust your longitude in the box by 0.2 degrees at a time E/W to get optimum signal.
yeah they do squeel a bit when not quite on tune.but thats normal I"d say there is nothing wrong with your boxes/tv/lnb its just the dish is out slightly.

Technomate is an old TM 1500 CI- The dreambox is 500s. With both ,go to 0.8w (thor) and ,on the test channel( Aged Care ) and (BTV-1)is not very good. [Level 84% quality 69-71%] I thing I have go up and down the ladder again .thank you very much for the reply...
