    Wifi or Homeplugs?

I have a friend who has a pretty big house. He wants a satellite receiver on floor 1 but the router is on floor 3

What would be the best bet for connecting the sat receiver to the router?? And its a pretty big house too. Would homeplugs work as there good? Also i think wifi would not reach to floor 1??

Also he need to keep his router on floor 3 too.. Give me some suggestions ppl thanks

Go for homeplugs if you don't think the wifi will reach down to floor 1(can't see any reason why it shouldn't).

Get homeplugs mate, as an IT technician, i'd say get the plug, it means you wont lose data between your router and your box, and get the best speeds.

Yes will get homeplugs just was'nt sure if they can be used on different floors because of the wiring loops.

No, the ring is the fuse in consumer unit that feeds the sockets.
So if you pull out that fuse only those sockets will not work.
If it is a big house he might have more than one ring main.
Even if they are on different ring mains, Home plugs could still work.
