Do you know, VM wont really budge much on price until after you have actually confirmed a disconnection date with customer services, then a few days later their second line retentions dept call you back and offer you some amazing incentives (freebies, free upgrades, monthly loyalty discounts) to stay with them. If you're good at haggling and moaning about not really being sure about wanting to cancel your Sky order, you'll certainly end up with a whole lot more for lot less cost that going with Sky.. Dont try and haggle with customer services, or the first lot you speak to when confirming disconnection, wait for 2nd line retentions to call you, and they will...

Is it the TV service or the Broadband or both your after ?.

Remember SKY TV can be got by other means and as for SKY's Broadband, good luck with that.

Did you take out a new contract with VM, if you haven't then I'd suggest cancelling the TV.

That's what I did when my contract ended at the end of September, so now I get 30mb BB and XL phone Talk Unlimited for ?40.40 a month, I get my SKY through CS.

i'd take a look at what your mobile phone provider can offer.

they all have some good offers.....eg o2 ?7.50pm line rental good broadband if you are fairly cloe to the exchange.

i got 12months free bb on their top package - get 18mb...they got some good offers for long standing customers also.

sky bb = shitye and then you'll have to pay extra to get away from them as they physically need an engineer to change you back.
