Eutelsat 16 east strange question.

Hi there,

I am from Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. For those wondering where, you can see my country on this map mauritius map on googlemap - Google Maps.

I have a dreambox and i am connected on Eutelsat W2M @ 16? East with a 80cm dish.

As you can see on this site http://www.tracksat.com/satellite285.html There are many bouquet and channels available. I am wondering why i only received Parabole Reunion and CanalSat Reunion.

From the coverage of other bouquet like TotalTv, Digit Alb. The coverage are well deserved for my country. I don't understand why i can't receive those. From lynsat it seems the beam is not for africa.

I have loaded latest satelite xml on my dreambox for Eutelsat.

Does anybody know how or if i should go for a bigger dish.

Satellites | DishPointer.com scroll to 16e and it says you need a dish size 110cm, maybe your dish is a tad too small... all you will get from Mauritius on a 80cm dish is 1.0W INTELSAT 10-02

you cant recieve the european packages(tring,digitalb ect) because they are on a european beam with north africa about the limit unless you have your own personal earth station with a 30m dish. you recieve parabol reunion as its on the saharan africa beam, heres the footprint maps to explain it a bit. regards mdt
