Best place to get an original Dreambox 800SE

    Hi guys,

Hope you are enjoying the festive period.

I am looking to purchase a Dreambox 800 SE, but an orignal non clone version and was wondering if you guys knew the best place to pick one up.

I currently have a openbox which is a pile of crap, had it 2 weeks and all the channels don't show a picture, so planning to getting a replacement box and selling it on and using the relevant configuration in the Dreambox.

    Many thanks in advance!!

While I do agree that the Openbox is not the best box on the market I'd suggest you check your connections and dish because you will get the Free Sat channels no matter what.

If your talking about the the scrambled channels well without a sea lion you'll never get these and spending that sort of crazy money on a original Dreambox will not help your situation one bit.

You have set up issues by the sounds of things.
No matter what receiver you buy wont work unless all data is entered correctly and connections are ok.

          Hi guys,

All the details are correctly and the connections are online as well. The box was initially working then just went loopy.

I have checked all the settings and lnb and still no joy. Even the freesat channels such as bbc 1 etc don't come anymore. Its either a green and blotchy picture or no signal message. I have tried the box at my uncles who has a perfect functioning Dreambox and there is still no difference.

I have tried updating the firmware and this has not made a difference so believe it is a box related issue.

I also have a got a sky HD box connected and the freesat channels work fine without a problem.

Is there much difference between an original and a clone? The main difference I see is the price?

Would a clone suffice and anyone know of a decent place to pick up a clone?

Most of those Dm clones now are better than the originals
