just add a lan switch , I have a 16 way on one of my 4 ports and a 5 way on another one , and your router is good for about 254 ports anyway

I have got about five boxes around the house all hard wired with 'homeplugs' so strictly they are only using a single port.

If you use a network switch you can have a group of devices in a remote location without needing loads of Ethernet cables. eg if you have your Router downstairs and want 3 boxes upstairs, run a single Ethernet cable upstairs and install a switch, then run the 3 cables from the switch to the boxes. It works well and you're not reliant on the mains wiring being on the same ring-main.
