1.1 metre mesh dish

Has anyone used a 1.1 metre mesh dish to get a signal on 4.8e ?
if so what type of signal strength are you getting ?

You will need to know where they are located for it to be of any benefit.

you should get that easy with a 1.1m from what i have read previously. i get 60%snr on hd

im pretty close to you and although my dish is a solid td110 ive just checked 11.747v on my vu+duo and im getting 67-70 quality reading in cloudy/very slight rain. id say you would need 10, maybe 11db to be on the safe side. regards mdt

I am also not far from you with triax td110 dish and on 12073H 27500 I get about 70% signal and 98% quality on a spider

and on travel channel 12111H 27500 its not far off the above either

those two txp,s are on the european beam and the viasat pl channels are on the nordic verticals which are considerably weaker . regards mdt

I looked at his location and compared it to mine and commented on channels I get using the same dish as you

12054V 27500 action or drama is 67% signal and 52% quality at the moment in the rain

12092V via fotball is about the same too whereas golf on 11727H 27500 is about 70% sig and quality
