need some info - Portugal Sat TV query

Hello everybody.
i am new to this site and dont know the ropes all that well all i know is that this is a very good site with very helpfull bunch of menbers. hopefully there is someone whom may be able to help me.
Right have just cameback from the Algarve Portugal where my family are living they have sky out there sky dish box and card. we went to visit some friends and in conversation someone said about the boxes that they had which doesnt need card just software and bobs your uncle.as i never had the bottle to ask what sort of system they had i decided to make enquies once i got back home.can someone please tell me what sort of system do i need what sort of box is needed .thank you looking forward to hear from someone who can help....cmora

may be they have taken a legit sky box and card from the uk over there
or
they are card sharing which is not allowed on here

It is not possible to view sky content without a sub unless you cardshare..unfortunately we dont discuss that here.. However with a a motorised system you will get much more than sky will ever provide..just make sure you have a cam too!
