Spiderbox 7000hd Problem opening secret menu after 15 Nov 11 Patch

Looks like I will have to make do with what I got until it stops working for me I think... Im pretty new to the Spiderbox world but my bro in law has had one for 2 years so I am quite well versed to how things SHOULD function with it, i guess this is just an anomoly with my unit??

you could try this copy but as you have said if it aint broke dont fix it

Thanks dickb...I have tried 3 different versions...this one you have sent is only 4.something MB and the others are 8MB...why is that?
I used this one today and all have done the same...no drop down with the key edit box??? very strange i must say.
Actually, now I have reloaded the 10/10 patch the pictures are chopping up loads on Thor PL channels...and ALL the other conax channels are showing as scrambled now (

its compressed and will be about 8mb once unzipped

PS The technomate softcam you were looking at is no good for your box.

thanks again...just found that out...have been using RAR up til now to open most patches/keys...just D/loaded winzip and all is dandy except the 15/11 patch which still eludes my system
Re the TECHNOMATE softcam...I realised i had downloaded the wrong patch when there was 62KB to the softcam...a bit excessive for my box i think...normally 1.5KB or so I think...the latest softcam for my box is dated? and where please?
OOPs sorry i got 2 softcams on my stick...one of 5KB and one 21KB....

Anyone else having this problem????....
I would love to keep my box bang up to date but my Spiderbox aint having it with the 15 Nov patch...it loads the patch but wont allow me to access the key edit drop down through inputting 1111 afterwards....If everyone else is managing to load this patch and access the key edit after, why can't I????
If there is a Techy/Software wizard that can advise, I will gladly go anywhere or do anything for it...within reason...

I'm having the same problem with new patches on Spiderbox 9000HD firmware loaded onto a Starview Combo+ HD. Very weird.

To answer my own question, it seems that, for me anyway, the Spiderbox website updates do not work properly. Downloaded updates from another thread on this forum and they seem to work fine.

spiderbox website downloads are official firmwares and not patches

the patches are usually by boxer and are the patched versions containg the hidden gift turned on using 11111

the latest patches for all HD boxes is in the mandatory spiderbox threads

as for an sv combo, use the I WAS BORED ONE DAY fix first, then use the latest 9000 patch
