bm7000s scrambled have i been scammed

    hi

got my bm7000s a week ago and finally got my broadband today... it was all set up for me and saw it working but now at home it comes up scrambled... have i been scammed or am i doing something wrong ... it is set up with my network and connects to blade online

also i notice i can view the ~~~~ etc on server ( which seems to mean the server actually works which is confusing )

better check if you have a server using 9991 , and check its connected if you have one

most boxes will not come with one

most need patching by the owner and your own srvr details adding

you can check the internet is connected by checking weather and youtube

turn box on then back on. see if that works.
disconnect from server (green button i think) wait a few seconds then reconnect (red button) see if that helps.
You could try get a test line from somewhere if that works then you may have a dodgy server or maybe its having a bit of downtime.

I had a similar problem with a test line. Double checked and triple checked all the server settings were correct. I believe the problem was a block on port 12000 by the isp. Perhaps some isp's are starting to block certain ports?

when you turn the box back on just go to

              menu - ip settings

turn off the dhcp setting then turn back on

exit from this and count to 10 and it will be fine - until you turn it off then back on then ya have to repeat the procedure

just out of interest are you using a netgear router?

if you are try using the 122p firmware for the box as seems not to have this issue

              hope this helps
