Hello all. Running (2) Pansat 250SM's in Canada and rumors here that a fix was released for the NAG3 europe based boxes?? We are in transition here from NAG2 to 3. Just curious if you have pansats in UK and any news on NAG3 fixes??

Its just rumour here at the moment bud... Some sources say it is hacked but that they are not releasing the hack just yet. Some say its not hacked at all. I had heard that the 'hack' is being withheld for now to allow the broadcasters to move over to N3 first thinking they are safe etc..
We hear a different rumour every other week though. If you put it in the search box you will find pages of discussions that have taken place where it is mentioned...
However when it is done for real you will know about here on DK,,,,,,, maybe

nagra 3 encryption started in europe about 18 months ago
when D+taquilla and tv-cabo changed to n3. and now the
other providers have moved into nagra 3 encryption and
there has been no tests yet to open it and i think it could be
a long time before nagra 3 is open again. and as far as i know
there is'nt any news about when or if we get it open again.i'm not sure
if the n3 encryption version we use is the same as the n3 version used
in canada.Please Read Carefully!

Just to put a slightly different spin on the problem across the pond, the Canadian satellite providers upgraded to N3 in Nov 2008 and the Americans expect to complete their upgrade probably by June. The naysayers claim a hack will take years while the optimists believe that a hack could be released shortly after the upgrade completes. Naturally, there is hope that a concerted global effort will solve the problem and restore freetv on a global basis. Periodically visiting this site is always a reality check.

Every provider using the new Nagra3 has a different Rom from each other so just because one provider might eventualy be opened does not mean other providers will be opened like the curent version Nagra 2 , this will be that same for Dish Networks and BEV in the States and in Canada both will have different Roms making the job twice as hard to open.
I belive the day of publicly released emu and keys are coming to the end, and the companys like Duolabs and others will buy the codes and keys and release them in Cam and Cas fourm this also makes money for the providers in indirect subscription from us buying these products.
Nothing has been opened for Emu/Keys realy since the Nagra2 was hacked involving Chris Tarnovsky a few years back, we have continued to lose more than is been opened (Now we are down to our last provider Digitv), so to be honest I dont believe Nagra 3 will ever hit our receivers, And as I have writen before if Nagravision are hacked again ( They will go bankrupt) and then we can look forward to a world of N*S or as you guys across the pond call it Dave !
I realy hope I am wrong....

i was wondering what dave was the last few days, was on a US FTA iRC channel and they kept mentioning Dave, i was like wtf.
Anyway, as more providers move to N3 the bigger audience of hackers it will face = the bigger/faster chance of it getting done. Happening in US and parts of Europe, with the rest of euro, UK & Irl coming soon.Comment

Dave I believe in America (Of course I can be corrected) is the name of the Guy that hacked N*S in card form and distrabuted Pirate cards all across the Country opening one or two of the big platforms in nort America, with N*S and News Corp clamping down of fourm like Digital-Kaos banning trends related to N*S the Americans continued by calling N*S = Dave, so any referance to Dave realy means N*S.
Which is something im surprised that in Europe we did not adopt a name for N*S to continue conversing on open trends.
(well I suppose there realy is no point after 10 years and not even a smell of a hack for it)
