    Newbie Questions

Ok i have been reading abit in the forums, but still find some info a bit confusing.
I'm looking at getting a setup for around ?400 for the purpose of watching EPL an some Films here and there.

So will the following do the trick.

DreamBox DVB- receiver 800+ PVR Receiver
    DM800S PRO HD PVR (Sim 2.10 SS82 ) - Satfool Deals
    or
Blade Media BM7000S 1080P HD Satellite Receiver 3D Freesat FTA PVR
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blade-Medi...item3a6f14e04a

I take it i need an 80cm dish as minimal i seen these 1.1m ones.
TRIAX TD110 SATELLITE DISH & POLE MOUNT FITTINGS 1.1m | eBay

    Then looking at a Motor
SUPERIOR DARK MOTOR METAL GEAR DiSEqC 1.2 / 1.3 USALS | eBay

Now for LNB can i use Dual...? So maybe i can run 2 boxes...

And as for the last part about updating keys etc, before i used to program Cards with a mouse programmer i take it this has changed now, is this now done via USB..?

If there's anything you think i should know please tell me.

    Thanks for any help.

depends on the box you buy as to how things are done

generally its usb on non-linux boxes and ftp over ethernet on linux boxes

yes you can use a dual , or quad , lnb , something like the inverto ultrablack which has single , dual or quad as you wish

a dual may be needed for a twin tuner box or 2 boxes , a quad could feed one twin tuner and 2 single tuners , or 2 twins , as required

Thanks for your replies, i've read, read and err read, so i have decided to go with a Blade7000HD, and sly for now, And i guess i'll do this the new way, also for now i don't need another dish as my sly one is just fine. Plus it saves me a bit of money for now anyway.
              so thanks for the advice.

Then maybe in a few months i'll go for the motorized dish etc.

m8 you made a good call keep it simple to start with then add to it

you can have it up and running in 15 -20 mins

the blade box is one of the most stright forward boxs to setup

you might also find your anwser in that section click on forum jump and you will see all the sections pick the one that suits
