HOW TO UPDATE MY CHANNELS? - ET 9200

i have a ET 9200 i am still a novice and trying to work out how to do it.

i have a ET 9200 i am still a novice and trying to work out how to do it. I would really appreciate an easy list of instructions on how i can update my channels per satellite whether its one at a time or all at once doesnt bother me. whatever is easiest would be great. i would love to be able to update new channels launched or moved transponder and also to get rid of the ones that have moved transponder or off air like dollybuster etc...but i don't want to lose the way my channels are viewed on my receeiver like the different headings for each satellite 'movies' 'adult' 'sport' and generally how the satellite green button shows up the channels / services/new/package for each satellite. i dont know if they are updated automatically or whether i can do it easily...i have been told i need dreambox edit but stuck what to do...your help would be appreciated.

i havent really looked into your stb but it runs linux os so
have you had a look in the addons manager to see if there are bouquets available for download?, catseye/vhannibal ect.. if not then you can upload a recent sat/ch with dbedit then reload. regards mdt

suggest you post in the clarketech section , and check the files in there and in the dreambox section , as dreamboxedit is most likely in the dreambox section wouldnt you think ?

yes i know i only have 1 reply and i'm still looking to get the help i need to update my channels. i just don't know where to begin.

the best way is do as mdt has said look in your addons and you should have a addon that will sort it all for you

i started using it on my dm and it works great before that i was downloading sgt flipflops lists then using dreambox edit sorting my local channels and ftping the file to satbox

the addon is so handy to do, i wondered why i was using dreambox edit as its sorted in seconds with the addon

thank you potrobber and mdt for your suggestion...please forgive me for sounding very naive but where do i look for the addons to find what i need? i seem to have plugins that i can download/add but i can't find addons unless they're the same thing. also, what is it i need to look for if i ever find my addons?

look in tspanal then addons then linuxsat support addons then channel lists

if you have no ts panal you shoud find it as a plugins

im going by dreambox here but there should not be much difference
