Yet more blade 7000 questions !

    Hi,
I downloaded the channel list for 28e but would like to add Hotbird(?) and another dish...
Tried to add the channel list from blade, but it overwrite the 28e... how do I keep both ?

I have a small 80gb self powered hard drive, this records fine -but HD "timeshift" is choppy... is this "normal" ? The blade's speed check says its fine !

Has anyone got a channel list that mimics S*Y channel numbers please ? (we have memorised a few... and it would be easier to recall chans !)

    Thanks
    Paulie

Change your av settings to 1080i as this is what sky broadcast in. This might sort out the choppy recordings.
I don't think anyone has a sky duplicate list. You could download the blade channel editor for your comp and do your own but it would take you a full day to do I reckon.

if someones got the time and if its possible to do a channel list same as sky's, then i wouldn't mind paying for it.

I think alot of people would like the same and probably wouldn't mind paying for it either, if we all got together and paid a few quid each it could be done.

Hope someone agrees to do it, if it can be done that is

I tried doing it and setting it as a favourite until I realised the favourites are limited to 120 channels I think.
It could be done under the 28.2 but you'd have to put blank sat channels in spaces where sky don't have a channel then get the box to skip this channel when browsing through. I'm not sure whether or not these void fillers would, show on the epg. If they did it would look pretty unproffesional.

Thanks to Leon623... changing to 1080i cured "timshift" !

As for the channel list.. im surprised nobody hasn't done it before... are we missing something obvious here ?

Might have to tackle this myself... im a sucker for punishment !
          Watch this space...

the sky list was done before about 8 months ago a guy posted a link on kings site but it was never updated

the other thing about the list done like that is you end up with lots of spaces between the channel numbers i did not like it that way and changed back

if kings was on i could show someone the link maybe they could update the list for those that want it

the list started at 101 for bbc1 and so on but you have from 1 - 100 with nothing in them channels

i think the way transponders move so much its hard to keep a list like that going even flipflop does not list it like sky

I did one list for a TM5302 mimicked sky exactly, But as potrobber said mine started at channel 1 and went up it took 3 days in all with 2-3 hours here and there and to be honest with the amount of changes nearly every month its a pain to keep up to date, And sorry to say the TM5302 is a different file type so will not work.

Now on the other hand you could get hold of a List for the TM5402 as it is exactly the same and i have seen various lists flying about for this one.

There is also a channel updater program that a guy from another from another site made which uses excel and updates all latest transponders from either Lyngsat, Flysat or kingofsat. This will not put them in order but if used regularly will keep all channels up to date, This is what i use to help customers out where i installed the TM for them its a great bit of work.

have to agree with the above comments

the first 100 would have to be rubbish channels , just to occupy the slots , and you need more rubbish in the channel numbers above 101 not used by sly , as their numbering scheme goes from 101 to 999 , so thats a lot of non-channels needed to fill in vacant slots , possibly too many

and with the 120 channel limit for each favourite you can only try to achieve it in the 28.2 east list (the full sat list of astra2) and not any of the favs

so its an unrealistic aim on almost any box , including the blade

Looks like the mythical S*Y list is a list cause then..

                    New question:
Timeshift audio is WAY louder than live TV ! Is there a resolution ?

I'm guessing "auto volume level" ?
In which case ,my tv doesn't have one !

                          Yes thats what I meant.
Does the Blade have that option in menu-av settings?
