      have to agree with mtd
i would never pay that for a ground mount
i have a 1.2.cm using TK brackets fastened to the garge wall which is south facing
takes a while but worth it to diy

Your not quite seeing the point here from an installers point of view Transport, Ladders, Tools, Meters etc.. do not come free i wish they did but they dont Public liability is not free either i wish it was.

At then end of the day we all have to make a wage and pay ourselves an hourly rate, What that hourly rate is between different installation companys can vary a great amount.

Some jobs i go to look nice and easy so i charge less, if it looks to be a bitch of a job and could take all day then i have to calculate a daily rate. What i am trying to say is everyone is different some dont mind paying one price some turn there nose up and think your ripping them off, at the end of the day its up to the customer what he feels he wants to pay for that job.

I said this before if you feel confident enough and have decent DIY skills with the tutorials available on here then i would say give it a go yourself and when its done stand back and give yourself a pat on the back at a job well done.

@digicon i understand were you are coming from as i install motorised/fixed dishes on a semi-pro/hobbyist basis and the equipment is expensive but you can hire any professional tradesman like a builder, plumber ect for ?200 a day but i just thought ?420 inc vat for a local(manchester 30 mile round trip) sat installer for half a days work to be a bit of a piss take imo. i had no intention of hireing the guy i just thought id see what a cai+ outfit were charging. regards mdt
