    Spiderbox 9000 up and running.

Got my spiderbox up and running seems so much more user friendly than the broken openbox I was trying to use.

Now doing loads of google research to try to get the services I want from it. I was wondering if any kind users would like to PM me and point me in the right direction?

Looked on loads of websites for info but not sure which ones to trust a lot of them seem fake.

Thanks in advance any help is really appreciated I feel like I have learnt loads in just a few hours.

the firmwares are on this forum for that box , as should be the softcam

you require the patch from 15 nov 2011, then turn on the ethernet for the extra channels

then turn on ucas in keyedit and add the spiderbox HDsoftcam for the ucas channels like diema and nova on 39 east

Thanks for the reply. Is there any recommended sites on the web where I can find info about gifts that would be suitable for the spiderbox. (apologies if this is not the correct way of asking, trying to comply with forum rules). Thanks.

a google search should turn up a few establised forums dealing with the spiderbox

you can use any cccam or newcamd lines with it, same as the openbox, but you must source them yourself

if its a new spiderbox the built in gift will run for 12 months and some sites list the channels opened by the spider gift

the HDsoftcam posts also detail the channels opened by the softcam + ucas patch ( built into the 15 nov 2011 patch )

Got the spiderbox working and loaded the software following instructions- working perfectly, free gift channels which come as part of box have all opened.

I have one question though I have the spider box connected with netgear homeplugs How do I know if they are working?

              Hi

If the channels opened by the softcam on 39e then they are working when using your homeplugs

If the gift channels open then homeplugs are working.

I tried the homestreaming facility last night and that was working fine so homeplugs must be working ok. Phew!

This satellite stuff is more difficult than it looks I have been reading through some of the posts and I'm pretty sure some of them are in a foreign language. I'm not the most or least technically savvy person but I get by I can build a website, program a video, use a touchscreen phone so not completely in the dark ages but some of the jargon on here is beyond my understanding, someone needs to set up a satellite dictionary with an easy to understand explanation of each word .

Hope everyone is having a good day and if anyone wants to start on that dictionary idea I will send them a list of the words .
