    thanks dickb digicon and mdt

this is what i will go with

    1.2 gibertini dish
    3 single good quality lnb,s
    my quad lnb
    1, 4 way diseqc switch
    a 4 lnb bracket

this to me seems the way i would like it to work correct me if im wrong we record a lot on 28.2

so 1 feed from quad lnb into tuner 2 on duo, two feeds from same lnb to bedrooms and forth to switch

then all 4 feeds 3 single lnb,s and last one from quad thru switch to tuner one and i can then watch any 1 of these 4 sats while still recording 28.2 on tuner 2 is this correct? will this work on no1 tuner in duo?

ive no intrest in recording on other sats so dont see the need for twin lnb,s

and for going with motor set up the above cant be done as dish will only point at one sat , so that rules out motorised set up

thanks for all the help with this

Your correct on your setup, but it can be done with a motorised as well the only thing you gain from having a Multi LNB setup is the speed of Zapping to a different channel on a different Sat.

If your happy with the Fixed 4 sats you want to receive then your setup cannot be beat for zapping speed, The only downside is your fixed to those 4 sats. With a motor you have the freedom of X amount more thousand channels than what you would have with your Multi LNB.

      Good luck with the Install

You can't, to record from 2 satellites at the same time would require either 2 dishes or a multi lnb dish

Sorry Dude my bad, with all the installs i do over here most already have a fixed sky mini dish so basically we take a feed from the Quad on the fixed mini straight to Tuner B and then Motorised on Tuner A.

I now realise you will only have the fixed 1.25m at your location so a multi LNB is the wisest choice unless you did put up a fixed dish for 28.2?.

Again apologies scrap what i said in my previous post its late LOL just stick with the Fixed Multi feed.

              thanks digicon

i had thought about leaving dish up but where its at, front corner of single story 2 dish,s would just look bad i think

i will be happy with one dish fixed and 3 lnb,s pointing at different sats and 28.2 on 4th lnb

can i now ask whats the best 3 sats to point these at for movies and documentries in english languge

ive no intrest in football channels and im sure youve guessed from my questions not much of a clue on all this sorta sat stuff

thanks for your good advice everyone

Sats I would go for personally for that would be :

                19E
                13E
                0.8W

If you get a dish big enough to pick them 3 sats up along with your UK on fourth LNB you are laughing mate would be a smashing and solid setup!

No waiting for motors to drive either !

Hi mate , I'm in central Belfast and Im in the process of setting up multi lnb , using triax 78, multi lnb bracket ,inverto lnb's , and using my old quad sly to feed directly to kids rooms and 1 feed going to disqec switch with other lnb's, I have got sats- 28.2e, 23.5e,19e,13e, and did have 0.8 west but I've only got a 4x1 Discq switch ( waiting on a 8x1 coming) but u shouldn't have a problem getting a lot of sats especially with your bigger dish - just a little bit of tinkering getting the angle of your bracket right, 28.2 will be highest to your left looking at your dish from the front and 0.8 will be lowest on the right hand side .ps I started off wanting 4 sats and now I'm wanting 8 ! .

Just to add mate if you get the gibertini dish they also do a multi bracket to suit check out HISAT : Motorised Satellite TV, Big satellite Dishes, Sharing satellite TV receivers, Decoders, Cards, In Stock, Gwynedd, North Wales, UK they are not the cheapest place but 100% reliable(and the dish will come from them wherever you buy) I found the bracket easy to adjust as some LNBs will need to be higher/lower on the bracket than others as outlined by"shankill2012",I cut spare rail off one end and bolted it to the main rail by the existing slots and used long bolts to get the rise and fall needed.I found this method easier than trying to tilt the LNB bracket or dish.

Also this is an easy and cheap way to add extra lnb's to your bracket without having to buy extra holders, simple hose pipe connectors.

if you are only after these sats a 1.25 gibby would be a waste of money, a 80cm dish would give ample signal and
looks a lot better than a 1.25 gibby.
