Globalstar 11000 - how to get satellites back

Hi - I have a Globalstar 11000 and it had astra, astra 2 eutelsat etc. working fine. then 3 mths ago there was a problem and I took it back to the sat store. the guy put the files back on but only for astra 2 as he didn't want to come out to my house. As the year subscription was up soon i lived with it. However now I need to subscribe for another year and want all the channels - Tring etc. He is trying to sell me a new box etc., etc. I want to get the missing satellites back and sort out my own subscription as he is trying to overcharge me.

Could anyone help me in getting the satellites back - i go to menu, installation, antenna setting and the satellites are there, I select add for the satellite e.g. Eutelsat.

It then asks for satellite angle
Satellite direction - shows as EAST
Band - shows as Ku

Could someone advise on what I need to put in please

Is it motorised and set up for diseqc or usals?

It is a motorised (80cm) dish set up with diseqc

this will help you set your globalstar back up

when you click on the sat button if you just have say 28.2

then go to MENU then INSTALLATION then Antenna Setting

now say you want to put 19.2 next on your list click OK and it will highlight in black then go to the right panel using the right middle key next to the ok

Then come down to motor set up you said Diseqc1.2 which is what i prefer, come down to either step it west and up to sweep/fast west..i find either way tricky, that is down to the poor signal to noise ratio not your ability, so move dish to 19.2 then save dish location then exit once, then search your channels.

Then open a fta channel ie Einsfestival or open C+ACCION HD. One will tell you your on the money with your motorised dish setting and the other will tell you if your free gift is working

Then hit your SAT button and you will see that 19.2 has been added with your 28.2...so rule of thumb is highlight your satellite, move dish, then scan

Still learning on this box whether to throw through window, pass onto outlaws, or keep. Hope the above helps you

Globalstar satellites back/poor signal

Well thank you not sure of legend leg end maybe ...
Not a newbie either but smiling..glad your back in business and glad of decent forum

On your private message and in a few threads here, it comes up several times about poor signal missing satellites etc

Some very sound advice been given in return for the main,
however having now got a Globalstar 11000 Can confirm its tuner is very poor signal to noise, so if its difficult for an installer then to hobbyist bob hope and no hope...

My advice for those who are using this as a second box, put cable from your loop out into the globalstars loop in..steer to dish from your main box, put to standby and search and save on your Globalstar.
Alternatively jump up the ladder with a mobile phone too hand shouting at the misses have we a signal Laugh it does work....or get a meter..or get a fixed dish

But most importantly...........have proved too myself, back to back with Spiderbox HD7000 my dish alignments good and motorised settings spot on, but the Globalstars 12% down on quality on 19east, and 17% on 13east
But this can be improved using above methods.. but not by its remote...The above written whilst watching JSC Sports +3 on a new out the box 3days ago Globalstar 11000
