European TV from Pacific Time Zone USA

    Hi there.

I would like to pull in out of state TV channels, and European if I can. My location is Northern California (Sacramento to be exact). I am a newcomer to the SAT arena. Used to know some one who had a motorized SAT setup. Can I get European channels from my location? Are their publications (Digital or Print) that can help me choose the right equipment and setup?

    Thanks!

its impossible m8 due to line of sight not to mention the footprints arent recievable although there is a guy in brazil who recieves astra1,hotbird and a couple of others with his homemade 8 meter dish. i think your best bet would be cable tv or somesort of ip box. regards mdt

Unfortunately you'll never get any european satellites from your location.

Here's a couple of links that may help you to find out what you can get from satellite.
