Not able to access DNS from virgin router

is anybody else having problems connecting to their dns, either web page or server.

i have a dns name for my IP and can usually access it remotely. I have 5 people on my server and they are all on virgin. Two people cannot connect to my server, and when i went to their house to check, i couldnt go onto my dns page from their internet.

tried a dongle in my computer and that allowed me to access it, but virgin didnt

but everyone on my server is virgin, and not all them are down, so i cant eliminate anything

    anybody any ideas?

Change the mac on your router and reboot both modem and router this will force virgin to issue you a new ip addy and then make sure your dns has updated then try again.

how do you change the mac on the router?

and would i be updating the router of the clients or the router of the server?

The router that the server is connected too. Log in to the router and.look for the mad address, just change the last 2 digits . Then it.will reboot, then goto you end.supplier and.check if the Ip assigned to the dns is the same as your Ip.

        Google what is my Ip

but i dont think its a problem at the server end, at one of my clients ends i am not able to connect to any dns servers through their virgin, but it will connect using a dongle.

its baffling me, checked all the forums on virgin and nothing is reported

            the 2 that cant connect
when you gave them a line it has a port number
tell them to open that port
and forward it to the ip on there box
