just setting up my motor now...

Moteck not only offers electric linear actuators, but we also provide different fields of automation solutions for customers. Customized products are common for us, if you have any need for electric linear actuators, just contact us!

nice site for setting up... i do have one questoin though...

my longitude is -1.999338.. when i add -1.99 in the calculator is says invalid parameter... i assumed you drop the -? and put in 1.99? seems weird though putting in a wrong parameter.. can anyone confirm that i put 1.99 instead..

        Negative latitude is south.

        Negative Longitude is West.

looking at thor, it says dish elevation is 27.5 degrees and scew is -3.7 degrees, and my lattitude is 54.57 degrees.

so just before i start, want to know if i've got this right....

            - i put up wall bracket dead straight
            - adjust latitude on the motor
            - place the dish on the motor, dead central, tighten at sides, leave loose for elevation
            - skew the lnb -3.7 (am i meant to apply skew on a motorised dish?)
            - place motor/dish onto bracket, then from there its all about finding strongest signal
I just adjust the Lnb to get the best signal, with a Sat meter on Thor. Just check it on both H and V channels. On a few LNB's it is hard to find out where null is.

which make of dish??? most dishes are standard 2 inch pole mountable unless its say a quality fixed prime focus dish like the old BT dishes that were on bookies for example but even then it could be motorised if a polar mount and jack were made/available. a replacement td88 and tm2600/darkmotor can be got for under ?100, regards mdt
