Which box for Sly F1 coverage & ESPN

Anyone have any advice as to which box would suit me best I want to watch Sly F1 coverage which i think is in HD & ESPN.
I have an 80 cm Ross dish which picks up all the channels just that they are locked to me.

Movie channels would be a bonus but not esssential.

I see talk about keys and soft cam files would that enable me to watch required channels without having a CS subscription.

Lastly would I need a HD LNB if there is such a thing or would the existing one suffice it only has one output to the Ross box at the moment?

The only F1 you will be able to watch with the Ross box is FTA on 19.2? east, i am afraid the Ross receivers are beyond the realms of hope regarding CS and Softcam keys.

Your Dish and LNB will be OK but i am afraid for what you ask a new Satellite Receiver is in order.

If you re read my post you will see that is exactly the question I was asking which would be the best box to replace the Ross one with.

What are the softcams or keys for do they not replace a CS

And i quoted you the cheapest way move your dish to 19.2? east and watch it on RTL for free with your current equipment.

If you want a new Sat Receiver then we need a little more info ie: Price are you competent with Linux, FTP,Telnet etc..

or i could just say go and get an Ultimo at ?529 that will sort it.

and if you reread MY post you were told that you need a cs for channels like those

softcams are a bunch of keys in a text format file and together with a suitable patch or emu containing UCAS open the channels listed with those softcams , and nothing else

Blade7000 or DM800Pro are the most popular options, then a good CS server if you wanted to open the Sky F1 channel without paying Sky

My budget would be about ?150 - ?200, maybe ?250 tops if it includes the CS , but how long would I get for that 1 year, indefinte or what. I have always used cable in past so have no idea how CS subscription works.
Never used linux but comepetent with Windows and DOS & PC in general.
I've also scanned Astra 1 at 19.2 but can't find any F1 on it might be because it doesn't start till tomorrow but I'd have thought I would be able to get a test message or something.

cs may take half or most of your budget not including the box either

the F1 channel on 28e is as follows

(19h04) Sky Digital: A new channel has started in DVB-S VideoGuard:
                      Sky Sports F1 (United Kingdom) on 12110.00MHz, pol.H SR:27500 FEC:2/3 SID:1306 PID:520/668 English,648 English.

(19h04) Sky Digital: A new channel has started in DVB-S2 VideoGuard:
                      Sky Sports F1 HD (United Kingdom) on 12363.00MHz, pol.V SR:29500 FEC:3/4 SID:3835 PID:512[MPEG-4] /640 English,660 English.

as for 19e that is supposed to be on RTL , so check kingofsat for transponder details , providing you can pick up 19e of course

                      RTL transponder details 11862.00H 57 EB9A DVB-S2 8PSK 27500 2/3

The openbox is a good budget HD box, you can pick them up for about ?60 - ?70, satellite at 28.2e and CS service which will cost about ?10 a month for a reliable service.
