it has to connect to the router in order to work over the internet , so ensure it hads a valid ip from the router, or make it a fixed ip like mine are, then check the ip and mac code are seen in the admin panel of the router being used for the internet, same as you would with a laptop or a pc

once it has a valid ip it should get an internet connection and the "gift" will work once its been registered

have you checked the network cable or swapped it for one that you know works? it does sound to me like there is no connetion as the 000.000.000.000 Ip if you had a 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then its the box or router...

have you got a lappy you could plug that lan cable in to check for connection, sometimes you need to power off box modem and router for 30 secs then on it may then get a connection.

no dont think so, network cable from router to spider then in the menu turn off the network restart the spider and turn the network back on then restart the router
