The kebap / Kemal card wich has been on the market for the past six or so months opening Digiturk all support for this card has now stopped, as with all smartcards they continue to be sold online well after there use has expired, this card is at present been sold online for 89.99EUR & Iam sure it will be pushed by sellers on sites such as Ebay over the coming weeks at a much reduced price to make back any lost revenue.
For those few of you that have this card all you can do is sit on it ! and see if update will come from another source over time.
And or the rest of us ! stay clear of a cheap kebap / Kemal that might pop up on satellite enthusiasts websites over the next few months.
And finaly this scam (kebap / Kemal smartcard) confirmes the theory of indirect subscriptions that are hidden in this hobby, the full Digiturk package would normaly cost you around 400 euro a year, the kebap / Kemal smartcard has been selling for nearly 90euro, the life of the card has been shy of only six months, I am only guessing that another card will be launched immently claming it can open Digiturk and other packages. Providers are using unofficial smartcards to boost revenue from there services and will drop it like a hot potato when they feel its time to charge you again (indirectly of course).
