if I read this right you have now got 13E properly set up with USALS.if so and your mounting pole is 100% plumb and the dish is dead central on the motor spigot you will get the other sats ok but the box wont show its locked unless you have an active TP set for the satellite you have sent the dish to,so send the dish to say 5 West by usals then input 11.591 V 20000 and scan this should give you some french channels.

cheers lads nearly sorted now its showed a weak signal on 5w when i went to this transponder to scan 11.591 V 20000

so i scanned it i could then tweak the dish upwards to get a good signal

i then went to 8w and scrolled down the transponder list till a signal came up indicating an fta channel on it i scanned it and found one channel to work with

after then moving the dish back to 28.2 13.0 and 19.2 there was no signal i had to adjust the dish down to get the signal
i kept doing this and between 8w and 28.2 i hd to either move dish up or down

i take its only something small like my latitude on motor need adjusting or my mounting poles not vertical or the dish isnt mounted on motor correctly

Always is something simple. Could be a few mm here or there.

              yes mate accuracy is everthing.
set your exact location latitude on the motor and leave it there(in advanced tuning you can alter this but for normal use this is NOT neccessary) the mounting pole must be 100% plumb checked all round and the dish must be dead central on the motor spigot about 50mm from the end.to ensure it is central on the motor spigot you can use the casting line on the spigot and a pair of dividers to the same spot either side of the dish bracket or remove the dish its self from the dish bracket drive the motor to exactly "0" then sight down the whole assembly to ensure everything from the lnb to a central point on the motor line up,or any other method that ensures accuracy.
