    free sly box office

    hi everyone..
this will give you 50quids worth of free movies..
presuming your box is phoneline connected.
go to the box office film you want to watch, pick up the receiver on your phone so you have a dialling tone, press select on sly remote and it will check purchasing information, then select to have movie.the box will try ring sly but cant cos line is engaged, but will let you view movie anyway, and try ringing through later.now unplug sly phoneline and put receiver down and voila...everytime you want a movie make sure u pick receiver up before plugging sly phone back in so its engaged, and box can never ring sly...
the cards will only let you run up 50quids worth then thats it..and if you plug phone line back in it will ring sly and charge you for the films.so this is only of real use if your thinking of sacking uncle rupert....

terriers this can also done using a RJ45 connected to a 9v Battery, and has been around for years, it has also been used to scam people, where people have hidden a 9v Battery in a plastic case with a telephone connection, many years ago it was been sold for 50 quid.

The problem is if you ever connect the Sky Receiver to the telephone line you will be charged, the information is stored on a BGA chip mounted on the main processing board of the receiver, even if you sell the receiver on to someone else, you can still be charged as the date of the PPV event detail are all stored.

There have been some reports on users actually erasing this data from the BGA but I never looked into it.
