    Quick Motor Question

    Hey All,

Just a quick question, i've got a technomate 2100 motor and was wondering if it can move a triax 1.1m dish, been googling it and cant really find a proper answer so was wondering if anyone got an EXP with it?

    cheers Lads.

Right i see, well that cant be good as its the model above, but i've found a few sites that say it can do 1.1 or 1.2M Max, But cant really make a choice until someone says they KNOW it will move a triax 1.1m dish

the tm2100 was the motor before tm2200 and so forth with the tm2600 being the latest. i cant see any reason why it wont work with a td110 as long as its not in a very exposed location. i have a tm2300 here moving my td110 since my stab100 threw a wobberler and it runs fine. put the tm2100 up and if it burns out after 12 months then there cheap enough to replace.. if not put it on e*** and get yourself a darkmotor or a stab 120 if funds arent a issue, regards mdt

Its in a good spot, my current 80cm dish is thee, but thats an awful mesh dish which has rusted and been bent, losing signal on all sats apart from 28e in this sun, so need a new one.

Maybe i should just be on the safe side and get a TD88, i mean im only have all the normal sats, and tv2 PL Hd channels, should be able to get them on a TD88 in east london?

              Get a dark motor.
I have fitted tm2100a and they are slow, also gears wear.

I know its old the 2100 model, but the prices of motors these days are quite alot, i may get a dark motor if it is as good as you say it is manic, cheers mate

Your only looking at about 50 60 quid max or about a 100 for stab dont forget you only get what you pay for............

I think the price of a motor is fair tbh.

Well again, i'll pay 50 bob for it if its worth it, by the sounds of it, it looks worth it, so i might aswell get it, in the end i might aswell get one good set up rather than always changing.

Would a TD1.1m and dark motor be enough to get TV2PLHD on 0.8w? in east london?

                      Cheers

be prepared for some swearing as the darkmotor isnt the easyist to set up unless you have the hands of a 10 year old. LOL, regards mdt

                              Very true

After a series of crap cheap motors, I splashed out on a Stab motor about 7 years ago from a dealer in Germany, it still works perfect with any box I throw at it!
