Box Nation Activation on Sky box HELP!

Hi there. I have just subscribed to box nation. However, I can't get it to update - and I suspect the problem is due to my sky box.

I have a hd box. However, only have one input feed. I think I can change settings somewhere on the skybox (by sky box, I mean an original receiver from sky!) - so that both the broadcast and the update are received down the one line. Can anyone let me know how I can reconfigure this on the sky box??

It would seem to be the case but I'm not a customer of theirs. I just have box nation on there as of today ...or at least that's what I'm trying to sort out.

There are settings that can be changed so that both updates and the broadcast data both come in on the one feed. It's navigating those settings that I'm unsure of - but I would imagine this must be ground well covered by someone else out there..??

If so, your post would be welcome.

White - there's no issue there. I would imagine the issue is that the box - by default - would have been configured for dual feed (it being a sly plus box). I need to change that to single feed - so that ALL data is received on that one feed.

For example...when I tried it this morning, the epg data was coming when I switched the feed to the other input. When I switched it back to the other input port/connector, then it could receive picture (when testing on free to air channels).

I would imagine it would be the same deal when box nation send the 'signal' to activate - it will activate on the other feed/via the other port ....but as I have only one feed......

              ...you see the problem?

I thought you needed an active sub to subscribe?
Heres how to switch to single feed on sky hd box
                Go to engineers page:

                SERVICES 0 0 1 SELECT

Scroll down to Single Feed Mode, and toggle left/right to ON

GREEN button to save, and single feed is now selected

                Thanks to Highlander @ DW

It shouldn't really matter whether your box has one or two lnb inputs in place.

I also have a sky HD box & i only ever use it to update ..

                  1 my Sky only card
2 my box nation only card

As you see i have TWO white cards, one has all Sky on it, the 2nd card ONLY has Box Nation & the Free stuff on it.

But when i update the card, i only EVER use one feed into the SKY HD box, so it does work & as Manic says, just set the box to one input only if you wish.
Mine is still set to two inputs by the way, but as long as one of them gets the signal, it shouldn't matter.

As long as you can get a Signal (Try BBC 1 for example)
then go to the channel Box Nation & simply leave you card in the box & wait for the update.

It doesn't matter if you have Sky or not, you can have Box Nation on it's own & they send the signal to update.

Just call Box Nation if you still have trouble & they can sort it.

                      Yes, in the official box.

                      You can subscribe to...

                      Asian Channels
                      Racing UK
                      Premier Sports
                      Box Nation
                      Setanta (In Eire)

                      Probably a couple more aswell

You don't need to have a Sky package of any sort to subscribe to any or all of the above.

Just give them your postcode, it won't be a problem unless you don't have one ofcourse.

                            Thank you for contacting BoxNation.

You will need a viewing card which is registered to your address. You will probably need to get a new card from Sky.
