Vu+ duo is better box as its dual tuner but takes a bit more setting up. Blade is a good easy setup single tuner.
It really depends whether you need the function to record a channel while watching another.
Personally I don't and that's why I went with the blade.

i have a blade and when i was new to sat this box was perfect had it nearly 9 months now and was easy to set up and to use.

Now im going to get Vu Duo coz its a twin tuner and will record a channel whilst i watch another.

on the blade box it says it does this but in reality it doesn't as it can only do it if both channels are on the same transponder which is never the case.

both very good boxs and as the others say duo is twin tuner linux so is more or less bullet proof takes a little setting up but once done is a first class box and if going the clone option is very good value

the blade also is top notch for single tuner and 1080p hd is outstanding on full hd tv beats duo for sharpness on my tv you wont go wrong with which ever one you pick and only 40 quid difference between the two so price does not come into it just single or twin tuner its your choice

i use both and can not fault any of them

No the Blade cannot take an internal hard drive external USB powered one only, The VU duo can take a Hard Drive internal or external.

just go for the Vu mate it cnt be that hard to use n you will end up getting one eventually anyway.

I would have gone for it had i known about the twin tuner issue when i got the blade, im gna get one soon as my 2nd box.

When i first came to the sat side from the cable side i thought its going to be hard to get my head around thats why i bought the blade coz of its ease, but now i know all the info is outhere especially on ere on how to use the more complex box.

If i was you id get the Vu duo clone
