I've got a ts-link tl-mr3220 3g usb router that has four lan ports on the back. I stick my 3g usb dongle into that and then it works just like an adsl router.

you would be better with a unlocked dongle and swap sim cards about till you find the one with the strongest signal from your location

Hi, I use the TP-Link 3220 with a dongle on Orange network and also a dongle on 3 network has been used. As long as you have a 3g signal these are fine and very little glitching/freezing. Where I use it the signal sometimes drops off as bit but it doesnt cause much problems.

no you have to go into the tp-link setup up by typing 192.168.1.1 then configure the router for the dongle ,,, it is not hard to do

I use a 3 dongle with a zoom desktop 3g router. I get a good lot of glitchin. My signal is good as when I put it in my laptop I get full bars either 3g or hspa. I'm wondering if its the router that's the problem. Anyone had any experience with the zoom?

                        just an update guys!!!
when i bought the original items they sold me a standard dongle which only had up to 7mbs speed....it worked well with just the odd glitch on uk channels!
i have since swapped it for a premium e367 dongle with up to 21mbps speed and the difference is phenonimal!...3 laptops connected and sat box and zero glitching on uk now!!
well worth a try if you have reasonable reception of the 3 network...mine,s average but working well!!

you need to check each providers signal check page with your postcode to give you a idea of the possible reception reliability, regards mdt
