Can I buy a dream box or VU+ Duo pre set up?

Hi guys, I'm new and hope to stick around.

I'm after a dreambox or VU Duo+ , is it possible to buy a box pre set up? SO I can just plug it in and all channels are there?

its possible but ill advised, certain people on ebay will sell a box with a 'gift' of up to a years channels.. however thse channels can, and frequently do, go off before the 'gift' period is over.
buy a box and then come back, we will help you set it all up for free

I'm just a technology dummy apart from games consoles and PC.

I found a site that is UK based.

Where do you suggest I look to buy a box for a decent price as well, where it's reliable?

Also where do I get the channels from for the year? Do I buy a code or do things myself?

dont think that UK based means its better.. 99% of sellers source from china. many of us on here buy from china and have no need to send back, dreamboxes have virtally nothing that goes wrong that a flash with a null modem and dream-up cant fix.. purely because i know dms and not vu, i would say get a dm

Also, how do the channels work? As people sell a years worth, how would I obtain these, but them or something?

i would idvise you to buy a duo and set it up yourself i did this with no knowledge of satellite and it was a bit tricky at first but all good in the end
