    Dual receiver set up help

If after an additional receiver to go in the bedroom and was wondering what is the best way to do it.

i want to be able to link the 2 boxes to the 1 motorised dish and be able change the channel whether you are up or down. Will i need a twin lmb? Also would i need 2 diablo cams 1 for each box?

Also is there a way to just use the 1 receiver but still control it from the bedroom and link it to both tvs.

Last thing whats the best receiver to get at the mo. Im after one that you can use like sky +.

    Cheers

1)if you buy a dual lnb you will only be able to control the motor from 1 receiver, however if you use a signal splitter or the loop out function from one receiver to another you will be able to move the motor from the secndary receiver so long as the first on is on standby-down side of signal splitters and loopout is that the second receiver can only watch channles from the same polarisation, band as the main receiver...
2)you will need 2 seperate diablo cams unless you want to take it out and take it to bed wiv you..
3)you can have one receiver connected to two tv`s but you will need a audio and video wireless sender or use rf cable...

If you use a signal splitter you will need another receiver so you will get a remote with that..
If you use a audio and video sender you will only be able to watch exactly whats being watched downstairs, even if the person downstairs presses mute on the receiver remote it will mute upstairs, its like a carbon copy..
With a audio/video sender you will get a sensor so put over the receivers front so you can change the channel upstairs..we currently only use the audio video sender to change channels but for the picture we use rf cable as there is less inteferance..if you have a falcon chipset 360 you will get heavy inteferance if its got any power going to it if its in the same or next rooms..

Thats great thanks sounds like the signal splitter will give me the best pic and allow me to have different channels on in different rooms and still control the motor.

How would i set it up ie wot goes to what.

          thanks alot sadiq999uk

You will have your lnb connected to your motor, then you will have your connection which goes to your receiver, but instead of connecting it to your receiver you will connect it to the splitter..from the splitter you will give both receivers a seperate connection..mind you as Ive already mentioned with both receivers on at the same time you will not be able to watch every channel on a certain sat as they need to be from the same band and polarity...
This is the more expensive way if you only ever going to have one receiver on at a time as you will need a new receiver..
The cheaper way is to use a audio and video sender or coax cable to view from upstairs..

thats brilliant made things much clearer with the coax cable does it just run from 1 box to the other and the video sender sensor on the main box to change channels from upstairs.

              thanks alot

The coax cable will run from your main and one and only receiver to your bedroom tv, this will give you a picture and audio..then you can buy a small sensor from argos called tv link for 15pound to change your channels...
On your receiver you will set rf out to say number 51..you will save it and leave it then on your upstairs tv you will have to do a channel scan as if you were scaning in analogue channels from a antenna..
Your rf cable wil go in the rf out on your receiver and it will run all the way to the aerial in on your tv..
