    Sky+ and Dreambox - Can I use a splitter?

    Hello,

I currently have sky+ and I have ordered a DM500 so I can have a play around with it.

I have a two way splitter from when I used to be in a cable area and a couple of boxes.

Can I just use the splitter near the back of my Sky+ box to split one of the feeds so I have an extra one for the DM500?

Will this cause me any extra problems?

When I used to have cable I would always do a scan whilst plugged into the main feed and then use a splitter and I never had any problems.

My LNB can have 4 outputs so I could run another cable from my dish but I think I might get rid of Sky in a few months, so if I can get away with not doing that I'd prefer not to.

Any help or advice is very welcome.

One cable for each box from dish. Two cables for twin tuner box. Can't use splitter.

run the cable , it will be a lot easier in the long run

do not use the splitter or you may damage the boxes
