    I just bought a 1m motorised system .
Its a Gibertini aluminium dish, its absolutely huge, its far bigger than I imagined,I might have to distract the missus while I put it up.
I can only imagine her wrath when she sees it,I have it hidden away in the garage at the moment.
I am putting in on the East facing wall where its sheltered so I opted for a Diseqc motor which should be ok.
I went for a Moteck 2100A but there are other makes available,Dark Motor,Clarke Belt,Technomate, all pretty similar ,some have nylon gears, some metal .
Other options are a polar mount and actuator which is sturdier but noisier and slightly more expensive as you need a V-Box .
At the top of the scale then is the H-H Mount like the Jaeger 1224 but that is expensive and pretty cumbersome.
If the site is sheltered a Diseqc motor should be suitable.
Ebay is prob your best bet.

Two good sites to buy off are HMsat.de and DVB-Shop24.net ,both based in Germany.
Shipping is ~20 euro off each and their prices are excellent.
            I'm based in Ireland too,Cork.

I didnt hide the dish well enough ,swmbo found it this afternoon and said that "That flying saucer isnt going up on my house"

it would be advisable to get a new universal lnb as the ends are different on the old ones and with it being so old its probably quite poor by todays standards, u can get a good 0.2db HD compatible for next to nowt m8

No it will not work..the lnb only looks at a small bit of the dish, enough to cover a mini dish but this means your dish will only work like a mini dish..even if you had a 2.4m dish and had a sky lnb you would struggle to pick up digitv..
Hope you understand what i mean
