Help with Astra 28.2 Signal Quality

    Hi,

I have a spiderbox 9000 on a motorised dish and have found my signal quality is very poor on astra 28.2 as low as 20% therefore freezing etc. On astra 19 it is fine in the 80%s.

I have tried rescanning and find the quality does not improve even with using the drivestep function to finetune.

Can anyone give me any pointers on what to check or how to improve it as I am at a bit of a loss at the minute, I have sky sat dish on front of house too and signal coming through that is quite high.

I would appreciate any help as I am now officially stuck I have checked my cable connections and they appear to be fine, and thoroughly exhausted all of the possibilities within my understanding, time to bring out the big guns and ask someone who knows what they are doing for some help. .

Your dish is misaligned if stb works ok on sky dish.

I have not tried the spiderbox on the sky dish, if the dish was misaligned would I not be having trouble with hotbird and astra 19 as well?

no , you may get some sats ok and yet not others

try the spiderbox on the sky dish , if its ok your dish and motor would appear to be out of alignment which will means some sats may work and others not work

if using usals check your spiderbox usals settings are correct for your location

Wow you are good, I have tried that and you were perfectly right worked great with the sky dish cable into spiderbox, so my dish must be misaligned.

I will have to get someone out to realign it as I would not know where to start.

            Thank you.
