    Spiderbox help needed

    Hi all,

Just patched a spiderbox hd9000 with the 29/03 patch.

Under "network", the MAC address is all zero's and is greyed out so I can't make any changes.

Clicking "apply", just throws out an "invalid mac address" error message.

    Any ideas?

without a mac address the box will not connect to my network.

I've got the mac address it's easily visible on a sticker through the top grill.

The problem is the Mac address section is greyed out on the box, I cannot enter anything in this field.

      EDIT:
Iv'e done a fair bit of seraching but can't find any menion of this problem on a spiderbox.
I've found a couple of Starview fixes here but dont know if they are compatible.

Yes, and set it to manual and input all the fields except "MAC" which stays greyed out.

Pressing exit on the remote or "apply" on screen results in the "invalid Mac address" error

Do a factory reset and repatch.

                Done, and done.

                Still the same

EDIT: I'll look for an older firmaware and give that a try.
