Anyone Heard of this box?? sunray DM800 HD Se

Im looking to upgrade my DM 500. Has been a great box but looking for something that allows recording and has hd.Already have a DM 500HD original which works great for hd and recording but dont want to splash out over ?300 again!! So looking to go down the clone road and was thinking of either another 500HD 800HD or maybe DM 8000 clobe if they are any good? anybody have them and can say if they run well? When I was looking found this box called a SUNRAY DM800 HD SE WITH 3 TUNERSSUNRAY DM800 HD SE WITH 3 TUNERS: S/C/T **WI-FI** - ukdreamshop has anyone ever heard of it are they any good? Does it have a triple sat tuner or is it triple S/C/T tuners?

    thanks

dont waste your money on one of those... you would be better with the standard dm800pro or the dm800se... but also look at the vu+solo, ?115 to ?120 delivered in 3 to 5 days and pay with paypal, all the above boxs are clones(copies) and are from PRC but have excellent support. regards mdt

It's not that bad a box? http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...r-wifi-249622/ I have certainly seen plenty of the "don't waste your money" STBs in my time.

I have the pro, SE, and the SunRay model is the one I prefer, but each to their own dependent on their requirement and preferences.

imho its just a gimmick that will lose support down the line but i suppose it could be of use were cable is big, germany ect regards mdt

It works quite well in the UK also, but as per the link I posted the tuner is not a "true" triple tuner, but it does have it's merits.

Gimmicks can be other peoples' hobbies. Support is something the manufacturers can give but ultimately it is the community that can offer it based on what I have seen so far.

But as I said each to their own.

thanks for all the replys and info.Only noticed after I put the link up that it is a triple tuner but not a triple sat tuner but a s/t/c tuner.Im looking at either a clone 500hd or 800hd se which do people think is the best and will have least problems with.I use pli images are they safe to use with the clones and dont really understand what the sims all about? does anyone own a dm 8000hd clone? They are a bit pricey but a twin tuner would be handy. Whats a good uk site to buy from dont fancy ordering direct from china.
            thanks!

m8 take another look at clone vu duo it leaves all the clone dm range way behind eating dust

also the sunray has 3 tuners but is not a triple tuner you can only use 1 tuner at a time on it

for one there is no patched images needed on duo clone so cant mess it up flashing with wrong sim or bootloader problems just look at dm section to see how often this happens

second added benefit of twin tuner and for near same price as dm800se and all the backup you would ever need with any box

                thanks for the speedy reply
Heard vu duo`s are meant to be good and a twin tuner would be handy. What do the bootloaders and sims do in the dm clones? why does the vu duo not need them? What sort of images can you use on the vu duo? With my original dm 500hd I can transfer files I have recorded from my external hd to my computer and files from my pc ( avi mpeg mkv etc) back to my external hd over my home network to watch back on my dm 500hd is this possible with the clone vu duo?

m8 most enigma2 receivers will let you do what you want below

transfer files I have recorded from my external hd to my computer and files from my pc ( avi mpeg mkv etc) back to my external hd over my home network to watch back on my dm 500hd

the sim and bootloader problems seem to come up when people try to flash the wrong patched image to dm clones

vu duo clones do not need patched images the use the images that the genuine ones use and images are supproted by open pli, blackhole, vix aaf vti and lots of others so no problems here

                    thanks!

if you choose a uk site you will pay up to a ?50 premium for the privalage... most uk sites just dropship from PRC anyway and take their cut off the top. i ordered a vu+clone from PRC using paypal and it arrived in 3 days with dhl, regards mdt
