you can get an 80cm dish with "U"bend wallmount suitable for a fixed dish for around ?45 so it may not be worthwhile trying to mod that one.

          instead of fitting pole upwards
turn the whole lot 90 degrees
          dont matter left or right

          the bracket
          not the ~~~~ing dish

yeah but how is he going to turn the dish L/R to find the sat he wants up/down wont be a problem but unless there is additional bracketry he wont be able to move it L/R.

what is the mount bolted to in your pic?

Yes this is exactly my problem... I can move up or down with brackets suggested above but how can I move dish left and right?

I don't know what you mean by what is mount bolted too? Sorry

                no need for additional bracketry

                get a compass
                find the sat you want
                fit bracket sideways
                facing the sat you want
slide dish on pole left and right
if you line up with a compass
so its there or there abouts
can slide dish 2in one way or 2 the other to get it spot on

looking at that clamp on the back of the dish
there loads of room to slide dish left or right

if you ~~~~ed it up and was more than 2 inch out where pole bend is
filp the bracket the other way and you got more room to slide

That looks like an old Lensen Heath dish, which was fixed with a "J" pole and seperate wall bracket. The longer arm of the "J" fixed to the dish allowing elevation adjustment, whilst the shorter arm of the "J" fitted into the wall bracket allowing Left/Right adjustment.

imo the dish looks like a old lenson heath 80cm mesh dish with part of the bracket missing so its been jerry rigged to sit on a horizontal pole, regards mdt

i was thinking i could get away with t & k brackets and pole with a 90 degree bend,

could then turn left and right with t & k and up and down on pole

                      what you guys think?

i was going to try and use a multi LNB setup with it, but now thinking it would be too much hassle

Im now looking at a Triax 80cm Dish

Genuine Triax TD78 High Quality Satellite Dish 78cm (80cm) Folding Arm Bracket | eBay

                          And a Multi LNB Holder

TRIAX TD MULTIBLOCK MULTI LNB HOLDER | eBay

                          I aim to pickup
                          13.0E - 19.2E - 28.2E

                          are these hard to setup?

Also i want your recommendations on LNB's

                          thanks in advance

                            no its not hard
                            if your handy with tools
                            and can think for yourself
then have a crack at it
